Appealing to Gen Z – what makes a strong brand in 2020?

For a long time, the attention of brands and communications professionals has been directed towards understanding millennials. This exciting generation was seen to be shaping the future of digital and ushering in a new age of Airbnb-ing and Uber-ing. But just as people started getting their heads around what it meant to be a millennial, and how to reach them, millennials grew up.

Now in their late-20s and 30s, millennials’ tastes, habits and values are changing, and for many brands, a key market is now a younger and perhaps trickier audience – my generation – Gen Z.

Meet Stand Agency’s… Jessica Nazaire!

Jessica joined as an intern a few months back, and we were so impressed we asked her to stay! Here’s a quick intro to our newest Account Executive.

How and why did you get involved in PR?

I did quite a bit of volunteering at school and uni, and I just wanted to shout about all the great things we did! Initially, I just wanted to get people as enthusiastic about charity as I was, and push for recruitment. Quickly, I started realising how much strategy was involved, and really got stuck into it.

Why did you want to stay at Stand Agency?

My first feeling at Stand was this overwhelming sense of encouragement, and can-do attitude. Anyone can do anything; you just have to give it a go. That’s what I love about Stand, no one doubts your capabilities, and everyone is there to help you be the better version of yourself. What more can you ask for?

Meet Stand Agency’s… Jade Kupoluyi!

How and why did you get involved in PR?

Whilst studying economics and politics at university, I was always intrigued by the current affairs stories I read in print and online media. I knew I wanted a role that would challenge me and enable me to work with organisations that have a story to tell. After a big search for my first PR role, I was really excited to land a paid internship here at Stand Agency.

What attracted you to work at Stand Agency?

I researched the work that Stand does and I was drawn to their client list. It was full of organisations with great causes that were having a positive influence on society.
